We are working on the SQUARE 1 Art Fundraiser/Activity This family focused fundraiser supports the PTO at CPSmith. The students in all grades get a chance to work thematically on their first project for the new year. This first art challenge asks the students to think, plan and draw their visual solution for the chosen design theme 2016:
Fun in Vermont!
I am excited to be doing this again as we begin school. The children are engaged in planning for an idea and working with the Elements of Design to create their first compostion of the school year. Line - Shape - Color - Space - Value- Texture-Form. Not only is it a FUNdraiser but a good way for the students to practice and apply their art skills. It provides me a baseline for each child as they work with basic art supplies/tools and ideas.

Example: National Core Art Standards -
3rd Grade:
Elaborate visual information by adding details in an artwork to enhance emerging meaning.
The students each draw a picture and color it in with markers on the cardstock provided. The company will then print a specific catalog for each student with their art exhibited on the front. Students can take these home to their families and review their order option if they choose.
